Went here for a cold beer on a sunny summer day. It looks dark and closed from the outside but it is open. It's a nice casual place with lots of wood and old glass colors. I had a craft beer with hop in the name I can't remember and it was good. The young woman was very on top of things and when my beer got low she asked if I wanted another, I like when I don't have to get someone's attention for another drink. I was driving so I couldn't stay to long. First impression it's a nice neighborhood bar and grill. It was too early for dinner so I can't comment on the food. Nice place. I posted some pictures.

Looks like where your mom wants to go for a drink, but you're going to have to wade your way through the intramural hockey team to get served.

What a great place! I had a no frills burger and fries and it was the most satisfying thing in the world.

This place is absolutely fantastic. There is no other restaurant/bar in Stevens Point that brings me nearly as much joy as Point After Pub & Grille. Their food is fabulous and they make some great mixed drinks (and they have a good selection of beer). Their staff is so friendly and welcoming, you'd be silly not to stop in. I've been on a mission to try all of their yummy sandwiches and wraps. So far I've had the roasted red pepper chicken sandwich, pesto chicken sandwich, southwest chicken sandwich, salmon BLT, and the Cajun chicken wrap. They were all delicious, with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. I also loved that those sandwiches come on a focaccia bun. And their wraps are HUGE. I could only finish half of it and I have a rather large appetite. My husband is beyond picky when it comes to Buffalo Wings (he considers himself a bit of a connoisseur). And Point After's wings have wooed his taste buds with flying colors. They have a wing special on Thursday night that he loves...you can get their wings for 50 cents a piece. They also have a really good cup of chili soup you can get Thursday nights. And if that's not enough, I love the atmosphere here. It's very relaxed and friendly (at least all of the times that we've been there). It doesn't seem to be a place where college kids come to get belligerent. It's just an all around nice place. I already can't wait to come back!

Pro: Better than chain restaurant food at reasonable prices. Con: Seating is limited. I came here on a Friday night with some co-workers. The drinks and fare were priced just right. Food was amazing considering it's bar food. My husband had the Heartattack burger and Fish Fry because he couldn't make up his mind. I had the pulled Pork on a bun. You get to pick your sides: beer battered fries, kettle chips, potato salad, or cottage cheese. Most of the food are greasy but it's a good greasy, yummy in the tummy, goodness. I love the portions too. It's a lot of food for the price you're paying. The waitresses were attentive through the night. It's noisy but again, this is a bar. You can find people of all walks of life here: college students, families with young kids, grandparents, working people, etc. Location is easy to find. I took a star off because we waited 45 minutes to get seated. Get there early or call ahead to reserve.

We reveled in the Friday Fish Fry at the Point After. The Haddock is cooked perfectly and is available in two battered options (seasoned breading or Beer battered) and two broiled options (cajun spice or lemon dill). You get four choices of potato (potato salad, beer fries, kettle chips, or potato pancakes) with marble rye bread and cole slaw. I'm a fan of potato pancakes in most instances, but favor the fries here. The dining area is VERY family friendly and when its full, you can wait with a game of darts behind the bar area. The haddock portions are small (four 2-ounce pieces) so order an extra basket for the table if you're party has hefty eaters -- or try one of the appetizers. Choose a bowl of their clam chowder and you won't be disappointed. It's also no coincidence that homemade old fashioned's are available for $2.50 (on special) from the bar. Do fish fries in Stevens Point get any better than this? Our group agrees that this is the best Fish Fry we've had in Stevens Point in our year-long search.

Absolutely a wonderful Friday fish offering. We had the baked selection. The Cajun and the lemon dill were both excellent. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Portion size fair to moderate. If you have a huge appetite I too agree you may want to order an appetizer!

Awesome food, service and prices. One of the best. All cooked to order. Love it!! This is an superb neighborhood bar and restaurant. Daily drink and food specials. One of the best fish dinners in town on Fridays. Usually pretty crowded, but the turn around is pretty quick. Have never had a bad meal. A must try when in Stevens Point

We are visiting from out of state and decided to try something new. Oh my goodness...the food was sooooo delicious! We had the cheese curds and mushrooms for appetizers, and the fish tacos and fish Reuben were awesome ;) we called to make sure they were kid friendly, and indeed they are!

Found this solid little stop off in Steven's Point for a quick bite and a drink through none other than the oh-so-freaking helpful YELP APP. (Seriously. It's so useful. I'm not just saying this because I work for Yelp, either. Elevate yo' game, you guys.) Venturing north post-Friday workday means some serious hunger sets in just around the 3 hour mark. It also means that you don't get your post-work week victory brew, because the first thing you do is hop in the car and get on the road once home. RIP workweek victory beer. This past weekend, we went all northern Wisconsin, which is something I love to do from time to time. Sure, it's a bit of a trek, but the beauty of the northwoods, the nature, the people, the spirit... it's all just so... good. Also, we were on a mission to check out a northwoods wedding venue, so: two birds, one stone, one weekend road trip. (Luke always drives.) Lucky for us, we were able to snag some solid bar eats and a few beers in the heart of Steven's Point, not far from a friend's campgrounds we were visiting that night. Central Waters on tap amongst a few other craft choices, stuff in bottles, bottles on rails, bottles on the bar... it's pretty standard insofar as booze. The food is pub fare, thoughtful, with salads, wraps, sandwiches, and lots of apps. Their signature snack seems to be deep-fried portabella mushrooms; it had little stars all around it on the menu. We did not partake. Fish fry was solid enough and my salad was a salad. The food was good, the service friendly - lots of college kids working - and the price was right. Would stop by again when in Rome! (er, Point)

Point After has the best fishfry in town, in my opinion. The brewcity fries are pretty great, too! I love the mac & cheese bites with their ranch sauce - so good! There used to be a very rude, and snotty waitress that worked there that deterred me from returning. However, I have not seen her there in quite some time and all other waitresses have been very pleasant. My only complaint is if you ask for an extra side of something - they charge you. I dip brewcity fries in mayo instead of ketchup and they give an insanely tiny sauce cup and then charge you 50 cents or so for it... (no really, it's smaller than your average sauce cup). That is honestly something I consider when thinking of dining there. There is usually a wait on Fridays, and sometimes if you call ahead the bartender can be a bit rude...

I am impressed with this place. They offer fresh food at a reasonable price. Service is quick and attentive. If you like hand-battered fried food, this is the place for you. Try the hand-battered portabella mushrooms - great flavor. We've tried several items on the menu and have not been disappointed - especially in the appetizers and salads. They have great daily specials too. This is a great little find in Stevens Point.

Love PA! It's close to home, the staff is always friendly and the food is great. It may be a bar, but the food is way better than standard bar food - they offer many options for all tastes and moods, I've never been disappointed! My favorites are the fish fry (any of the options offered), blackened salmon, & the portabella mushroom app is a must-try! I even love just the side salad, it is loaded with veggies (and the ranch dressing is awesome). My husband loves the burgers & shrimp tacos. Check it out!

Came here to try the fish fry and it was phenomenal. The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the drinks and food are priced fairly good as well. I highly recommend point after, it's my favorite bar & grill.

There Friday fish fry's are good, i have now been there twice for fish and both times i was not disappoint. Would I go back again, yes. Untill I find a better place which I doubt for the Stevens Point area. I hate to say this but we went back for fish fry this last Friday and again the fish was good but the size of the meals were smaller than in the past. Thinking about trying to find a new place to get Fish on Friday nights.

Since writing that review I realized the secret to not waiting: make a reservation! They take them and have always been ready for us when we've arrived, if not earlier.
